Our Policies

Our Mission:

To provide our customers in the Greater Westchester County area with friendly service, a wide variety of quality furniture, choice of finishing - at a price that obtains an excellent overall value.

Conditions of Sale:

1. We will repair or replace any merchandise that is defective due to workmanship or material, after we have inspected it.  We will stand behind our product to any reasonable extent.  If an item is defective it must be brought to our attention immediately.
2. All sales of custom finished or sale/ clearance items are final. Custom finished furniture that matches the customer requested finish or sample will not be considered defective.
3. Merchandise returns must be made within 10 days of receipt and returned in saleable condition.  Merchandise returns will receive store credit that is good toward future purchases and is valid for one year.
4. Cancelled orders are subject to a 20% service charge.
5. Failure to accept delivery or pick up furniture within 60 days will result in forfeiture of deposit and will give Natural Selection the right to resell the merchandise.

Finishing:

1. Finishing is done off site by professionals.  Hardwoods can be expected to have a variety of colors and grain textures.  These variations in color tone are not considered imperfections and do not constitute reason for replacement.  We will, however, work with you and do everything in our power to obtain the finish you desire.

Delivery:

1. Delivery charges are not usually placed on your invoice - they are to be paid upon receipt of the merchandise.  Any assembly or special arrangements you desire should be agreed upon between us ahead of time so we can schedule properly.  Additional work on site may require an additional charge.

Pick-Ups:

1. We understand you want your merchandise as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to accomplish this. We will contact you immediately upon receipt of the merchandise from the manufacturer and hold it in store for you at no charge for 30 days. Pick-ups are to be made Monday-Saturday between 10 AM and 5:30PM at our warehouse in Yonkers.  There are no Sunday Pick-ups.  After 30 days, we will have to charge a storage fee of $2.50 per day per item.

Privacy:

1. Natural Selection Furniture pledges to respect your privacy.  We will never give your personal information to any outside organization or individual for marketing purposes.  We will never telemarket.  Our marketing efforts will be through the mail or electronic delivery.
